Status:Active, open to new members
Group leader:
When: Monthly on Wednesday mornings 10:00 am
2nd Wednesday of Month
Venue: Foster Room

What we do:

* The aim of the group is to explore all aspects of digital photography through discussion, tutorials, videos and field trips.

* Members are encouraged to explore the full potential of their cameras; whether compact system camera (CSC) or DSLR. We also try to help each other if technical issues arise and resolve them. From apps/editing programmes and equipment knowledge.

* Members agree a theme or subject for a ' Monthly Challenge ' and submit selected images on a USB stick for group discussion this proves to be a valuable way to advance their photographic skills.

* While members of the group are improving their photographic skills our meetings do not provide a comprehensive course in photography.

* We meet from 10.00 -12:00 noon, on the 2nd Wednesday of the month in Local hired rooms.

* We do exhibit our photos at a local library.

* If you would like to join us on our photographic journey, or require more information, please contact the Group Leader.

As an example our last October meeting

Last October our meeting was different and fun - we did some studio based activities.

We started the session earlier at 09.30hrs this allowed more time for tea/coffee etc. With lots of differing areas to photo some even ventured outside, others used unusual objects and various set ups. The whole morning was a team effort.

Photographing miniatures

- the green car is a model on the wall of the Foster Room. The submarine has surfaced in a puddle.
