This group aims to extend the knowledge and skill of those who use a Windows computer, and in doing so increase their confidence to do things they have not tried before.

We meet once each month on the third Thursday from 9.30am to noon in the Foster Room next to Holy Rood Church.

Members who have laptops bring them along and those who use desktops share a laptop. At our meeting we discuss things we can do with our computers and applications we may not know about. We deal with questions such as "how do I do ...?". Members raise issues which we attempt to resolve.

We also discuss anything related to computers in general including security, malware, current and future developments. We look at how companies such as Microsoft and Amazon manage their affairs, and any other interesting news items. Our discussions are often supported by videos.

While members of this group are improving their computer knowledge and skills, our meetings do not form a comprehensive course in computing. It is not suitable for anyone who has not used a computer before. However, less experienced users will certainly benefit from the shared experience. We are not able to repair broken computers although we are able to advise when support is needed
