* No one had put themselves forward for the post of Vice Chairman but Mike Young was willing to continue in the role. Our constitution under paragraph 7x Casual Vacancies - Officers and Executive Committee, states that "The Executive Committee may fill any vacancy arising amongst the Officers or the non-Officer Executive Committee Members until the following AGM. At the committee meeting on 27th May the Executive Committee formally asked Mike Young to continue in this role.
** We had lost two valuable members of the committee, Sheila Simpson and John Ponting, due to time served,and under paragraph7xi which states that the Executive Committee may in addition appoint not more than two co-opted u3a members to the committee to hold full voting rights for the following year. They were both co-opted on to the committee at the committee meeting.
